Dr. James E. Sargent | Dr. Sargent received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Entomology from the University of Minnesota and his B.A. degree from Hamline University. He was employed as an Extension Entomologist with the Ohio State University from 1978 to 1983 where concentrated on the management of urban and post-harvest pests and on stored product pest management research, including insect growth regulators (IGR’s), fumigants, pheromone traps, microwave treatments, new grain protectants and new residual insecticides. Jim spent thirteen years in private sector where his primary responsibilities included fumigants and fumigation, and research into worker exposure to fumigants and fumigating animal burrows. Jim serves on the Copesan Technical Committee (CTC). He is also a member of Pi Chi Omega, the pest control honorary fraternity, and currently serves on its Board of Directors. |
