Menomonee Falls, WI – February 22, 2012 – Copesan, a leading commercial pest management service provider, is pleased to announce a record contribution of $15,992 for two nationally recognized organizations providing scholarship funds and research support to the pest management industry.

In association with Syngenta, a long-time supporter of Copesan and leading industry supplier, 2012 marks the eleventh year of the Annual Charity Raffle which has raised more than $75,000 for Pi Chi Omega and the NPMA Pest Management Foundation. “Copesan is once again pleased to support both Pi Chi Omega and the NPMA Pest Management Foundation,” said Deni Naumann, Copesan President. “The record dollars raised over the 11-year history of the raffle reflect the commitment of the entire Copesan network. We believe strong, future leaders and scientific research and development are essential to providing the best possible service to our clients now and in the future.”

During Copesan’s 2012 annual conference, attendees, including members of Copesan’s Partner network and pest management suppliers, generously contributed a record $7,573! Copesan matched this amount for a total donation of $15,146 to be equally divided between the Pi Chi Omega Scholarship Foundation and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Foundation for research. Pi Chi Omega will also receive $850 raised in an auction of a unique “Arthropod of the Hour” clock featuring preserved insects on each hour of the face. The clock was created and donated by Dr. Gerry Wegner, Technical Director and Staff Entomologist at ProGuard/Varment Guard Commercial Pest Solutions of Columbus, OH, a Copesan Partner.

In addition to raffle ticket sales at the annual conference, Copesan organized its first ever 5K Run/Walk to raise funds and hosted a “Copesan Network Celebrity” dunk tank. Aric Schroeder, Copesan’s Vice President of Sales, took the dip on behalf of raising money for these organizations… All proceeds from both events were donated to these worthy causes.
