Menomonee Falls, WI – March 2, 2012 – Gina McElgunn, VP Supply Chain Quality for Pepsi Beverages Company, shared the Pepsi strategy for brand protection with pest management professionals at Copesan’s annual Conference in San Diego last month as the keynote speaker. McElgunn, a long-time Pepsi leader and Quality Assurance expert, addressed the importance of working together in a true partnership to effectively manage pests over the long-term.

“Our program is written with input from Copesan – we rely on their expertise to guide us,” McElgunn said. She emphasized the importance of accountability in pest management on the part of both the pest management service provider and the facility employees to ensure that a facility meets and exceeds the quality standards established by Pepsi management. She also recognized the key role pest management plays in the overall protection of some of the world’s most recognized brands in the Pepsi portfolio.

McElgunn, who recently announced her retirement from Pepsi Beverages Company, gave her time and expertise to Copesan, who in turn recognized her contribution with a donation of $1,000 to the charity of her choice. She selected Ability Beyond Disability, an organization close to her heart through personal experience, as the recipient of this donation. Ability Beyond Disability has been dedicated to teaching disabled individuals the skills they need to find a job and home and achieve their dreams of the “normal” life most people take for granted for over 50 years.

The Copesan Conference is an annual event designed to connect Copesan’s network of local service providers and provide an opportunity to recognize success and strategize for the coming year. The Conference is in its twelfth year and has featured many esteemed keynote speakers including industry experts, motivational speakers and key client leaders. Copesan is proud to add Gina McElgunn to that list as a Copesan supporter.
