Menomonee Falls, WI – March 17, 2014 – Copesan Services, Inc. is pleased to congratulate its own Dr. Jim Sargent on receiving the 2014 FMC Legislative Day Award last Monday, March 10, 2014 during the 27^th Annual NPMA Legislative Day. Currently serving as Director of Technical Support & Regulatory Compliance, Dr. Sargent, or “Sarge” to his friends and colleagues, has been a member of the Copesan team since 1996 when he started as a Corporate Entomologist.

The FMC Legislative Day Award is a prestigious honor granted to one industry leader each year who has proven their dedication to the advancement of the pest management industry through significant regulatory and legislative accomplishments, actively participating on the local, state and/or national level. Candidates are identified by FMC and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and the leadership of FMC weighs the impact of the work of the nominees in order to make the best decision for that year.

Dr. Sargent joins a long list of industry greats honored over the 19-year history of the award. Upon receipt of the award, he shared his surprise and belief that no one person receives this award alone. “My involvement in the industry is a result of all my colleagues and all the tremendous PMPs whom I’ve met in the last forty years,” he said.
